Agnes K. Sundra

Agnes K. Sundra, age 88, formerly of Bloomsburg, died at 6:39 a. m. on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at the Brookdale Assisted Living Center, Harrisburg, where she resided for two years.

Born in Hazleton on May 11, 1928, she was a daughter of the late George and Mary (Yurista) Kokinda. She was a 1946 graduate of Hazleton High School.

Agnes resided in Bloomsburg from 1976 to 2015 and formerly lived in Dallas. After moving to Bloomsburg, she was employed by Milco  Industries, Inc. for 12 years, retiring in 1988.

She was a member of St. Columba Catholic Church.  Agnes  enjoyed doing crafts and sewing.

Agnes was preceded in death by her husband, Edward J. Sundra on March 8, 2013.

She is survived by three children:  Linda, wife of Thomas J. Kennedy, Harrisburg; Eileen, wife of Vincent K. Sott,  Hanover; James E. Sundra, and his wife Elisia, Media; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; a brother,. Joseph Kokinda, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. ; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated in St. Columba Catholic Church, Bloomsburg, on Saturday morning by her pastor, Monsignor Robert E. Lawrence. Interment was in New Rosemont Cemetery, Espy.

Arrangements were entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market Street, Bloomsburg.
