Albert B. Colosimo

Albert B. Colosimo, age 86, of S. Fourth St., Catawissa, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday December 9, 2024 surrounded by his family.

Born in Shenandoah on October 4, 1938, he was the son of the late George and Myrtle (Beach) Colosimo. He resided in Catawissa since 1970 and previously lived in Morrisville.

Al was last employed at Wise Foods in Berwick and prior to that at Girton Manufacturing in Millville as a refrigeration technician, retiring in 2003.

Al was a man of few words, but always ready with a witty remark. He enjoyed golf, movies, good Italian food, family, and spending time with his dog, Scooter. One of his proudest achievements was obtaining a black belt in karate when he was well into his 50's. 

Surviving is his wife, the former Dawn J. Foose, with whom he celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary on February 8, 2024; daughter, Linda Swankoski, of Catawissa, son, Jeffrey Colosimo, and his wife Mary, of Mechanicsburg, four grandchildren: James “Jac” Colosimo, Nathan Colosimo, B. Colosimo, and Marianna Colosimo. He was the last of his immediate family of four children. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Kelli, Bob, Danielle, Jackie, and the Geisinger Hospice team for their wonderful care and support.

Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. in the Dean W. Kriner Inc. Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg, with Geisinger hospice chaplain, Alan Langelli. The family will greet friends from 10-11 a.m.
