Allen D. âTinkâ Koser, age 75, 404 W. Mahoning St., Danville, died at 2:58 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2014 in Geisinger Medical Center, Danville after a brief illness.
Born in Derry Township, Montour County on Sept. 25, 1939, he was a son of the late Pharis E. and Maud A. (Hess) Koser. He had resided in Danville for most of his life.
Tink was employed as a truck driver for several companies throughout the years.
He served with the U.S. Army in Germany during the Korean War.
Tink enjoyed cooking and family gatherings. Spending time with his family was one of his greatest joys.
He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Josephine J. Davis, on Jan. 17, 2006; two sons: Jeffrey Dean Koser in 1970 and Ricky J. Koser in 1998; a daughter, Debra Fritz on July 10, 2014; seven brothers and three sisters.
Surviving is a daughter, Edna Davis, Danville; ten grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; a brother, Carl Koser, wife Josephine, Danville; and two sisters: Helen Spring, Unityville; and Mildred Bacon, Millville.
Funeral service will be held on Friday at 12 noon in the Roat-Kriner Funeral Home, 1715 Bloom Road, Danville, with Rev. Charles N. Chamberlain, III, pastor of the Bloomsburg Southern Baptist Church, officiating. Interment in Columbia Hill Cemetery, West Hemlock Township, Montour County. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. - 12 noon Friday.
