ALYCE M. UHRICH
Alyce M. Uhrich, age 59, 806 E. Washington St., Medina, Ohio, died at 3:55 p. m. Monday, May 17, 2010 at the Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, Ohio, where she was a patient for 11 days. Her death followed a lengthy illness.
Born in Bloomsburg on August 3, 1950, she was a daughter of Janice M. (Breece) Yost, Orangeville and the late Pennington D. Yost. She spent her early life in the Forks section of Fishingcreek Township and she was a 1969 graduate of Benton High School.
Alyce resided in Medina for over 25 years and was last employed as an aide in a nursing home. As a young woman, she was a member of the Zion United Church of Christ, Forks. She was talented in art and music and sang professionally with various bands.
Surviving in addition to her mother, is her companion, Scott Tollafield, Medina; a son, Jason Pileski, and his wife Cheryl, Harrisburg; five siblings: William R. Yost, and his wife Patricia, Yorktown, Va.; Elaine, wife of Richard Fisher, Orangeville; Elizabeth "Libby" Snyder, Bloomsburg; Katherine, wife of Wayne R. Kocher, Benton; Jeffrey C. Yost, Orangeville, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family with the Rev. Darryl E. Kensinger, pastor of Zion United Church of Christ officiating. Interment in Zion Cemetery, Forks. There will be no calling hours.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Benton.
