Ann I. Bunnell
Ann I. Bunnell, age 93, 403 Finch Street, Orangeville (Stony Brook Circle), died Saturday, December 5, 2015 at the Emmanuel Center For Nursing, Danville.
Born in Olyphant, Lackawanna County on January 28, 1922, she was a daughter of the late John and Frances (Fara) Kucab. A 1940 graduate of Olyphant High School, she resided in Scranton for much of her life, prior to moving to Stony Brook Circle several years ago.
Ann was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, Slabtown.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry W. Bunnell in November, 1982 and by seven siblings.
Ann is survived by two sons: Hank Bunnell, Asbury Park, New Jersey and John Bunnell, Santa Rosa, Calif.; a daughter Ann, wife of Andrew Melick, Catawissa; four grandchildren: Candy Bunnell, Keith Bunnell, Sara Melick, Grier Melick; and four great-grandchildren. She was the last of a family of eight children and is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews.
A private Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Holy Family Catholic Church, 574 Bennett St., Luzerne, by Rev. Joseph Elston. Interment will follow in St. Catherine's Catholic Cemetery, Moscow. There will be no public viewing.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg.
