Barbara J. (Bulla) Brown

Barbara J. (Bulla) Brown, age 90, of Maple Ridge Rd., Millville, died Thursday January 30, 2025 at the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.

Born in Bloomsburg on July 5, 1934, she was a daughter of the late Emmett and Helen (Hess) Bulla. She was a 1952 graduate of the former Scott Township High School and resided in Millville since 1982.

Barbara was employed by several garment factories. She last worked for Milco Industries in Bloomsburg, retiring in 1993.

She was a member of the Moreland Baptist Church in Muncy.

Barbara enjoyed playing the mandolin at her church and for square dances. She was known for her baking.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Glen M. Brown, on June 21, 2022; and a stepdaughter, Linda Craver.

Surviving are four children: Vicki, wife of Reginald Johnson, of Jerseytown, Glen Strausser, and his wife Debbie, of Millville, Valori, wife of Steven Beagle, of Millville, Edwin Strausser, and his wife Annette, of Dadeville, AL; a stepdaughter, Dawn, wife of James Eves, of Millville; a stepson, David Brown, and his wife Laurie, of New Paltz, NY; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; a sister, Arlene, wife of Frank Beaty, of Hughesville; two brothers, Donald Bulla, and his wife Marie, of Catawissa and Robert Bulla, of Bloomsburg; and many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday February 7th, 2025 at 11 a.m. in the Moreland Baptist Church, 118 Moreland Baptist Road, Muncy, with Pastor David Guenin, officiating. The family will greet friends in the fellowship hall immediately following the celebration.
