Barbara C. (Kilgus) Fogle, age 101, of Kings Road, Drums, died peacefully at her home on Wednesday evening August 7, 2024.
Born on July 16, 1923 in Muncy Township, Lycoming County, she was a daughter of the late Ray and Clara (Swank) Kilgus. She resided in Drums for the past 10 years and previously was a longtime resident of Stony Brook Circle, Orangeville.
Barbara was a 1942 graduate of Muncy High School and a 1945 graduate of the former Bloomsburg Hospital School of Nursing. She was employed for the as an industrial nurse for the former Magee Carpet Company of Bloomsburg and last as a nurse at the Danville State Hospital, retiring in 1985.
She was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Drums and had formerly been a longtime member of the Lightstreet United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur F. Fogle, on March 25, 2010; a son-in-law, Jeffrey Hinkle, in 2009; a grandson, Jeffrey Hinkle, Jr. in 2002; and four siblings: Eleanor Kilgus, Lillian Kepner, Harold Kilgus, and Fred Kilgus.
Surviving are her two children, Wayne C. Fogle, of Sun Lakes, Arizona, and Nancy F. Hinkle, with whom she resided with in Drums; four grandchildren: Sharon Musselman, of Lexington, South Carolina, Steven Hinkle, of Harrisburg, Tiffany Dineen, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and Ryan Fogle, of Elizabethtown, Kentucky; 10 great-grandchildren; brother, James Kilgus, and his wife Gail, of Montoursville; and two sister-in-law’s, Mary Kilgus and Beverly Dean Kilgus.
Funeral services will be held on Friday August 16, 2024 at 2 p.m. in the Dean W. Kriner Inc. Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg, with her pastor, Pastor Todd Glasmire, officiating. Private interment will be made in Elan Memorial Park in Lime Ridge. The family will greet friends from 1-2 p.m.
