Betty M. Blass

Betty M. Blass, age 92, of 75 Horn Rd., Catawissa, passed away peacefully at The Gardens at Millville on Monday afternoon, January 25, 2021.

Born on April 6, 1928 in Franklin Twp., Columbia County, she was the daughter of Ezra and Edna (Rhodes) Adams. Her lifetime was spent in the rural Catawissa area.

She was a longtime member of the Grace United Church of Christ at Mill Grove, where she had served in many capacities including communion steward. She enjoyed working in her flower beds, her cats and her dog, Frehley. Her hobby was being the best mother and grandmother in the world.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph L. Blass, on September 6, 1988; a grandson, Michael J. Crone, on February 4, 2003; two brothers: Ray Adams and Carl Adams; and a sister, Ruth Zimmerman.

Surviving are four children: Gary E. Blass, and his wife, Sue, Glen L. Blass, both of Catawissa, Audrey M., wife of Jeffrey A. Crone, of Bloomsburg, Marty R. Blass, and his significant other, Roxy and her children Abby and CJ, of Catawissa. Six grandchildren: Heather, wife of Colby Dove, Matthew Crone, Mandi Crone, Dorothy, wife of Mike Kreischer, Adam Crone, and Leon Blass; and a sister, Joan Blass, Mechanicsburg.

Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. in the Dean W. Kriner Inc. Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg, Interment in Grace United Church of Christ cemetery at Mill Grove. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10-11 a.m.
