Betty M. Johns

Betty M. Johns, age 83, formerly of Lime Ridge, died at 9:51 pm on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville,

Born in Berwick on October 13, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Clarence A. and Lorena M. (Girton) Johns. She resided in the Lime Ridge area most of her life before becoming a resident of the Grandview Health and Rehabilitation Center, Danville, on May 3, 2013.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers; Robert Johns, William Johns and George D. Johns and also by two sisters; Loretta Daggett and Jane Johns.

Betty is survived by a brother Roland E. Johns and his wife Barbara, Bloomsburg; a sister Shirley Kishbaugh, Nescopeck; three half brothers; Larry A. Deitterick, Gary L. Deitterick and Barry G. Deitterick; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 am in the New Rosemont Cemetery, Old Berwick Road, Bloomsburg (Espy) with the Rev. Chad Hebrink, pastor of Grace Lutheran Church, Berwick, officiating.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Dean W Kriner, Inc Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg.
