Beulah I. Miller
Beulah I. Miller, age 98, 109 Schoolhouse Road, Benton, died unexpectedly at 11:21 a. m. Tuesday, May 13, 2014, at Vintage Knolls, Danville, where she resided for the past two months.
Born in Jackson Township on July 23, 1915, she was a daughter of the late Hurley F. and Stella M. (Evans) Fritz. She spent much of her life in the Grassmere area of Sugarloaf Township and was a graduate of Benton High School.
Beulah attended the Divide Union Chapel and was a former secretary of the Sugarloaf School Association. She was an excellent seamstress and enjoyed quilting and gardening.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy C. Miller on August 17, 1997 and by two sisters: Lois Conrad and Alice Yost.
Beulah is survived by her only daughter, Jane L. Hess, Danville; two granddaughters: Stacy K., wife of Richard Geffken, Benton and Wendy L., wife of Michael Gable, Emmaus; three great-grandchildren: Miles Geffken and Katherine Geffken, Benton ; Sydney Gable, Emmaus; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11 a. m. in the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Benton, with Rev. Howard W. Leh, pastor of Christ United Methodist Church, Central, officiating. Interment in Waller Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Friday from 10-11 a. m.
