Beverly K. Schmeltz

Beverly K. Schmeltz, age 70, of Kriner Street, Danville, passed away on Monday March 10, 2025 at the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.

Born on June 26, 1954 in Mahoning Twp., Montour Co., she was the daughter of the late Rodney D. and Mary L. (Reedy) Baylor. Beverly was a lifelong resident of the Danville area.

Beverly was an avid gardener. She loved ice cream and hand feeding birds and squirrels. She enjoyed being a homemaker and mother and was especially proud of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Scott Baylor and her brother-in-law, Dale Sanders.

Surviving is her husband, Francis Schmeltz, with whom she celebrated 52 years of marriage on September 26, 2024; three daughters, Michelle, wife of Rod Aikey, of Mt. Carmel, Jennifer, wife of Luke Kovaschetz, of Danville, and Angela, wife of James Popiel, of Danville; five grandchildren: Anatasia Kovaschetz, Sarah Hopp, Michael Rankin, Logan Kovaschetz, and Abbigail Popiel; six great-grandchildren: Landon, Sophia, Eleanor Marie R., Talia, Eleanor Ivy H., and Dutton; four siblings: Terry Edgington, of Kansas, John Baylor, and his wife Nancy, of Danville, Ronnie Baylor, of Danville, and Patricia Sanders, of Sunbury; and a sister-in-law, Bonnie Schmeltz, of Danville.

At her request, there will be no services.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Roat-Kriner Funeral Home, 1133 Bloom Rd., Danville.
