Bruce E. Bowman, Jr.

Bruce Edward Bowman, Jr., 79, of Bloomsburg, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 9, 2025, at Sunset Ridge Healthcare & Rehabilitation in Scott Township. He was the owner of Sneidman’s Jewelry, a family owned store in Bloomsburg for 105 years.

Born in Bloomsburg on June 12, 1945, the only child of the late Bruce E., Sr. and Alice (Kimbel) Bowman. He was a 1963 graduate of Bloomsburg High School and a graduate of St. Anselm College in Manchester, New Hampshire.

He later graduated from Stewart’s International School for Jewelers; the Jewelry Repair Gemological Institute of America and the University of Southern California Jeweler’s Management Institute.

Bruce proudly served his country by serving with the U. S. Army for two years

Bruce always made time for family and friends and his love for traveling and snowboarding. He was a certified level 2 snowboarding instructor. He was a founder and past president of the Black Diamond Ski Club.

He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. He also was a former president of the Bloomsburg Theatre Ensemble and a member of the Bloomsburg Chamber of Commerce.

Bruce was a loving father, friend and member of the community. He lives on through his children, Brandon E. Bowman and his partner Marco Cifelli of Bloomsburg and Alexa K. Bowman and her fiancé Marcus Klees of Hughesville; two grandchildren: Griffin Bowman Klees and Cora Klees. He is also loved by his former wife and longtime best friend, Ann Marie Bowman of Bloomsburg.

Funeral services will be held on Friday at 2 p. m. in the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg, with the Rev. Dr. L. Lee Barnhardt, pastor of First English Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow in New Rosemont Cemetery, Espy with military honors by the combined American Legion and VFW honor guard. Espy.
