Camille J. (Martelli) Belolan

Camille J. (Martelli) Belolan, age 75 of Bloomsburg passed away on Thursday evening, November 23, 2023, at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia where she was a patient for three months.

Born in Berwick on January 18, 1948, she was a daughter of the late Nicholas and Rosalie (Sorce) Martelli. She resided in Bloomsburg since 2003 and previously resided in Mifflinville and New York City. She was a graduate of Berwick High School in 1965 and the former Bloomsburg State College in 1969.

Camille was a teacher, writer and educator, last working at Bloomsburg University for 12 years. Earlier she worked at the Press Enterprise and for the New York Public School System.

She was a member of St. Columba Catholic Church in Bloomsburg.

Camille was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, George N. Belolan, on June 3, 2023, a brother Michael Martelli and a sister, Elizabeth Simpson.

She is survived by two children, Andrew Belolan and his wife Deidre of Mifflin Township and Nicole, wife of Tyler Putman of Riverton, New Jersey; two grandchildren, Nicholas Belolan and Elena Belolan; a brother, Nicholas Martelli and his wife Ruth of Reading; two sisters, Diane Martelli of Honolulu, Hawaii and Rosalie Dellegrotti of San Jose, Calif.

Camille will be remembered for her wit, cooking, and love for her family.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at 11 a. m. in the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market Street, Bloomsburg with Rev. Richard J. Mowery, pastor of St. Columba Catholic Church officiating. The family will greet friends and family from 10 a. m. until the time of the service.

Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
