CARL A. BUNGE
Carl A. Bunge, age 70, 500 River Hill Road, Catawissa, died at 12:35 p. m. Saturday, June 25, 2011 at the Bloomsburg Health Care Center where he was a patient for nine days. He was in failing health for six months.
Born in Locust Twnship on June 24, 1941, he was a son of the late Clyde and Helen (Fetterman) Bunge. He was a lifelong resident of the Catawissa area and a 1959 graduate of Southern Area High School.
Carl was employed as a machine operator by the Kawneer, Corp., Bloomsburg for over 30 years before retiring in 2007.
He was a member of the Catawissa Fire Co., and the Catawissa Boat Club. Carl was an avid hunter.
Surviving are four children: Ruthanne, wife of Troy Litwhiler; Mark A. Bunge; Scott A Bunge; and Carla, wife of Jason Sudol, all of Catawissa; five grandchildren; and two sisters: Sue, wife of William Nuss, Catawissa and Iris, wife of Donald Beaver, Montoursville. A brother, Jay Bunge, preceded him in death.
At Carl's request, all services will be private at the convenience of the family.
Memorials may be sent to a charity of the donor's choice.
Arrangements have been entusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St.,, Bloomsburg.
