Carl E. Parks, Sr.

Carl E. Parks, age 81, of Robbins Rd., Bloomsburg, passed away on Monday January 1, 2024 at the Gardens At Millville, where he had been a resident since November 29, 2023.

Born in Montour Twp., Columbia County, on March 29, 1942, he was the son of the late Earl and Ethel (Parks) Creveling. He was a lifelong resident of Columbia County.

Carl was last employed by the Dillon Floral Corporation, Bloomsburg, for over 50 years. He was previously a truck driver for many years.

His favorite activity was cutting firewood.

Carl was preceded in death by his wife, the former Gertrude L. Spickard, on April 7, 2006; a son, Carl E. Parks, Jr. on November 12, 2022 and a grandson, Christopher Stabler, on March 29, 2012.

He is survived by two daughters, Gertrude Ann “Trudy” Parks and Crystal, wife of Allen Yoder, Jr., all of whom resided with him; and two grandsons, Mason Yoder, at home, and James Yoder, of Berwick.

At his request, there will be no services.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner Inc. Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg.
