Carla J. Fedder

Carla Jean Fedder, 69, of Bloomsburg was relieved from her battles with illness on Saturday Dec. 2, 2023, at Geisinger Medical Center.

Born Carla Jean Glodfelter Aug. 30, 1954, she was the eldest daughter of the late Clarence (Gene) Glodfelter and Mildred (Hampton) Glodfelter.

Carla always claimed, even with her last words, her greatest accomplishment was and always will be her children and ultimately her grandchildren. Carla is survived by her children, Todd and Jo-Ellen Fedder of Milton, PA, and Wade Fedder of Morgantown, KY; her grandchildren, Hunter and Mikayla, Ethan, Carter, Kendall, and Summer; her siblings Craig and Beth Glodfelter of Adams, NY, Fannette Glodfelter of Bloomsburg, PA, and Paul and Carolyn Glodfelter of Hardyville, KY; and her nephews and niece, Brett Glodfelter, Brady Glodfelter, and Gwen and Jordan Rawlins.

Carla was a very special women and friend to so many. She was a talented artist, crafter, and seamstress and she enjoyed creating and sharing her pieces. Carla loved deeply and gave generously to those she cared for. In her last days, she was surrounded by her family and loved ones sharing stories, reliving happy memories, praying, reading scripture, laughing, crying, and ultimately finding peace. Above all else, Carla was a faithful Christian and was steadfast in her beliefs even at the end. Love is patient, love is kind. Love does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no records of wrongs: 1 Corinthians 13:4-5.

A private burial and a celebration of life ceremony is being planned at a later date per Carla’s wishes.
