Carlton L. Talbert, Jr., age 71, 640 Rod & Gun Club Road, Millville, died unexpectedly at his home on Monday, October 9, 2017 and was pronounced dead at 11:52 a. m. He was in failing health for several years.
Born on January 15, 1946 in Chapmanville, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Carlton L and Dorothy (Saunders) Talbert.
Carlton was a graduate of Chapmanville High School in 1964 and later graduated from Raritan College, Raritan, New Jersey. He resided in Pine Township since 2003 and previously lived in North Plainfield, New Jersey.
He was a machinist by trade working in North New Jersey, where he also owned a silk screening business.
Carlton was member of the Southern Baptist Church. His hobby was woodworking.
Surviving are his wife, the former Victoria Anagnostou, to whom he was married for 24 years on the day of his death. Also surviving are four step sons: Stacy Xenakis, and his wife Cathy, Blairstown, N.J.; James Xenakis, North Plainfield, N.J.; George Xenakis, Branchburg, N.J.; Mark Xenakis, Millville; a grandson, George Xenakis; a great-grandson, Julian Xenakis; and two sisters: Donna, wife of Ken Hanson, Palm Bay, Florida and Bonnie, wife of Ron Williams, Snow Hill, North Carolina.
It was Carlton's request that there would be no funeral services or viewing.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market Street, Bloomsburg.
