Carol Ann Borthwick

Carol Ann Borthwick, age 67, 425 Hooven Street, Duryea, died at 9:15 a. m. Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at the Indian Head Camp Ground in Rupert. She was in failing health since Christmas, 2015.

Born on August 15, 1949 in Pittston, she was a daughter of Betty (Bressler) Camasso, Harding and the late Michael Camasso. She was a 1967 graduate of Pittston High School and resided in Duryea since 1972.

Carol Ann was employed as the manager of the Indian Head Camp Ground for 30 years. She also was employed by the former Blue Cross/Blue Shield Insurance Co., Wilkes-Barre earlier in her life.

She was a member of the Italian Presbyterian Church,  Pittston.

Carol Ann loved to knit; draw and paint, as well as other crafts. She also enjoyed watching birds and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her mother, she is survived  by her husband, Kenneth A. Borthwick, with whom she would have celebrated her 44th wedding anniversary on September 20, 2016; a son, Kenneth M. Borthwick, and his wife Krista, Bloomsburg; a granddaughter, Kaitlyn Borthwick and a grandson, Tyler K. Borthwick, both of Bloomsburg; a brother, Michael Camasso, and his wife Ann, Newark, Del.; and a sister, Roselyn Camasso, Harding.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 2 p. m. in the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg, with the Rev. Darwin C. Goshorn, retired United Methodist minister officiating. Viewing will be from 1-2 p. m.
