CAROL A. CARPER

Carol A. Carper, age 75, 256 Gravel Run Road, Danville, died at 4:30 p. m. Saturday, July 24, 2010 at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. She had been in failing health since January.

Born in Danville on July 9, 1935, she was a daughter of the late Victor and Isabell (Albeck) Drum. She currently resided in Rush Townshiop, Northumberland County and previously lived in the Bloomsburg, Berwick and Catawissa areas.

Carol was a 1953 graduate of the former Catawissa High School.

She was employed by State Farm Insurance Co. in their Bloomsburg office as a claims representative, retiring in 1987 after 25 years of service.

Carol attended Trinity Lutheran Church, Danville and was a social member of the Catawissa VFW Post and the Danville Moose Club.

She was preceded in death by a son, Bradley Breech, in 2000.

Surviving are her husband of 11 years, John E. Carper; a daughter, Melanie N. Breech, Ocean View, Del.; a granddaughter, Christy A. Hoffa, Ocean View, Del.;
Del; a grandson, William J. Rickmers, Georgetown, Del; three sisters: Patsy, wife of James Tennis, Bloomsburg; Cynthia Soboleski, Catawissa; Mary Jane., wife of Allen Shuckman, Harrisburg; and several nieces.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family, followed by interment in Elan Memorial Park, Lime Ridge. There will be no calling hours.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Roat-Kriner Funeral Home, 1715 Bloom Road, Danville.
