Carol L. (Tyler) Vognetz

Carol L. (Tyler) Vognetz, age 76, of Danville, died at her home Sunday evening February 16, 2025 after an illness.

Born in Shamokin on May 28, 1948, she was one of six children of the late James W. and Doris L. (Chaundy) Tyler. She attended Coal Township schools prior to graduating from Shamokin Area High School in 1966.

She was employed in the dietary department at Danville State Hospital for 25 years, retiring in 2002.

Carol was a life member of the American Legion Post 40 Auxillary, Continental Fire Co. #3 Auxillary, and a social member of VFW Post 298.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard A. Vognetz on May 18, 2021.

Surviving is her daughter, Kristene, wife of John Reibsome and her son, Richard A. Vognetz, II, both of Danville; six grandchildren: Brittany, Nathan, Tierra, Richard III, Alexis, and Jocelynn; and five great-grandchildren.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be made in Elan Memorial Park, Lime Ridge.
