Caroline M. Brobst, age 81, 251 Pine Street, Catawissa, died at her home on Wednesday, March 5, 2015 and was pronounced dead at 1:05 a. m. She was in failing health for several years.
Born in Mahoning Township, Montour County on December 23, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Benjamin and Helen (Mausteller) Ackley. She resided in Catawissa most of her lifetime.
Caroline was employed at the former Emenee Shirt Co., Catawissa and last at the Econo Lodge Motel, Buckhorn. Her favorite pastime was reading.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald E. Brobst, January 27, 2001; and by three sisters: Mary Tanner, Martha Shultz and Laura Hartman.
Caroline is survived by four children: Ronald E. Brobst, and his wife Jane, Catawissa; Mary E. Mulligan, Catawissa; Steven R. Brobst, and his wife Diane, Weston; Connie L. Brobst, Catawissa; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Esther, wife of Larry Hilscher, Riverside.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at noon in the Bloomsburg Baptist Church, 2405 Old Berwick Road, Bloomsburg (Espy), with the pastor, Rev. Craig D. Laidacker officiating. Private interment will be made in Hillside Cemetery, Catawissa.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market Street, Bloomsburg.
