Catalina (Mary) Tolentino, affectionately known as "Nuna," went to be with our Lord on October 3, 2023. She passed peacefully at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, at the age of 86 years old. Born on October 24, 1936, in Pangasinan, Philippines, Mary leaves behind a loving legacy.
Devoted to her family, Mary cherished her role as a great-grandmother to Braeden, Arabella, Eris, and Charlotte. She found joy in preparing delicious meals and tending to her beautiful garden. Mary had passion for card games and crocheting, a keen eye for fashion, and found solace in prayers. She enjoyed watching thrilling UFC matches and cheering for Manny Pacquiao, the Philadelphia Eagles, and Phillies, drawing on her own experiences as a former shortstop.
Mary was not only a loving family matriarch but also an avid traveler, having explored many countries throughout her lifetime. She lived in Italy for 17 years, adding an international flair to her rich life experiences. For the last 16 years, she resided with her daughter in Collegeville, PA.
Mary is survived by: her sister, Marina Abella "Mama Payat"; her five children, Loreta and Danilo Dometita, William and Amy Tolentino, May Tolentino, Nancy and Mark Sevilla, Wilson and Fe Tolentino. She also leaves behind fifteen grandchildren, including Dan and Crystal Dometita, Peter and Darelle White, Matthew and Denise Philips, and Michael and Danica Harris, as well as ten cherished great-grandchildren.
While Mary's earthly presence will be deeply missed, her memory will forever remain vibrant in the hearts of those she touched. She was a compassionate woman, with generosity, graciousness, and empathy towards loved ones, friends and strangers alike. May her soul find eternal peace and rest in the embrace of our Heavenly Father. We take solace in His promise from Revelation 21:4: "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away."
