Catherine A Swatski

Catherine A. (Mirarchi) Swatski,  age 88, of Danville died early Friday morning, October 23, 2020 at the Grandview Health Care & Rehabilitation Center in Danville where she resided for three years.

Born in Kulpmont on October 10, 1932, she was a daughter of the late Anthony and Rose (Feudale) Mirarchi. She resided in Danville for over 60 years.

Catherine was a homemaker for much of her life and worked part time at the Danville News for five years later in her life.

A devout Catholic, she was a faithful member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Danville.

Catherine was an avid bingo player and also loved to cook and work puzzle books. She was a loving mother to her daughters and only grandson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John A. Swatski on June 6, 1995; by three brothers: Eugene Mirarchi, Robert Mirarchi, Joseph Mirarchi; and two sisters: Rose Litchko and Theresa Mirarchi.

Catherine is survived by two daughters: Jacqueline “Jackie” Fetterman and her fiance’ Kevin Alley of Berwick and Maryann, wife of Leonard Smith, Danville; a grandson, John “Jack” Smith of Danville; and several nieces and nephews..

Private services will be held in the Roat-Kriner Funeral Home, 1133 Bloom Road, Danville, with her pastor, Rev. Timothy D. Marcoe officiating. Interment will follow in St. Hubert’s Catholic Cemetery. There will be no viewing.
