Charles H. “Chuck” Henrie III, age 64, of 816 Old Reading Rd., Catawissa, died peacefully at his home with his family by his side on Thursday, June 3, 2021 at 1:05 p.m.

Born in Bloomsburg on April 9, 1957, he was the son of the late Charles H. Jr. and Jane (Kauffman) Henrie. He resided in Locust Twp. for the past 27 years and had previously lived in Lightstreet.

Chuck was a 1975 graduate of Millville High School and a 1980 graduate of Williamsport Area Community College. He was an automotive mechanic at the former Zeisloft Brothers Chrysler and last at Fairfield Chrysler Dodge, last working in March 2020.

He was a member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church of Catawissa.

Chuck was active with youth activities including, coaching AYSO soccer and Roaring Creek Valley Little League. He served as the timer for the Catawissa Redskins football team and also was active with the Southern Columbia Football boosters. He also was a former Cub Scout and Boy Scout Leader in Catawissa.

He enjoyed teasing his nephews and nieces and also helping friends and family members with their automobile problems.

Surviving is his wife, the former Patti S. Clossen, with who he would have celebrated his 40th wedding anniversary on September 4, 2021; a son, Kurt R. Henrie, and his wife Megan, Watsontown; two brothers: Chauncey “Chip” Henrie, and his wife RuthAnn, Millville, and John Henrie, and his wife MalSon, of Georgia; a sister, Nancy, wife of Curt Duttinger, Sunbury, and a number of nephews, nieces, aunts and uncles.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Dean W. Kriner Inc. Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg, with the Rev. Michael Spagnuolo, pastor of the Catawissa Christian Church, officiating. Friends may call from 10-11 a.m.
