Charles W. "Chuck" Horne

Charles W. “Chuck” Horne, 78, formerly of Franklin Street, Bloomsburg passed away peacefully at the Meadows Nursing & Rehabilitation in Dallas on Monday morning, April 21, 2025.

Born in Bloomsburg on April 12, 1947, he was a son of the late Edward E. and Thelma (Davis) Horne. He attended Bloomsburg High School.

Chuck worked for the Norfolk and Southern Railroad for over 35 years before retiring.

He served his country as a member of the U. S. Army during the Vietnam War.

Chuck was an active member of the Bloomsburg Christian Church where he was involved with many activities.

He was a member of the Valley of Bloomsburg Post 273, American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 804.

In addition to his parents ,he was preceded in death by a sister, Carole J. Thomas on June 1, 1993 and by an infant brother Carl Horne.

Surviving is a son, Gregory Horne and his wife Victoria of Dallas, Texas and a daughter, Sherri, wife of Corey Fish of Berwick; five grandchildren: Gregory Horne, Jr., Derek Horne and his wife Tiffara, Bridget Horne, Capria Fish and Trista Fish; two sisters, Gail Horne of Bloomsburg and Maddie wife of Thomas Solenberger of Sunbury.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 25,2025, at 11 a. m. in the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market Street, Bloomsburg with Eric J. Miller, lead pastor of his Church officiating. Interment will follow in New Rosemont Cemetery, Espy. Military honors will be performed by the U. S.
