Charles J. Kemble, age 73, 222 Main Street, Benton, died at 9:23 p. m. Monday, April 13, 2015, at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, where he was a patient for two days. His death followed a long illness.
Born in Philadelphia on July 2, 1941, he resided there until moving to Benton in 2008.
Charles was last employed by Medical Copy Services, Philadelphia as a records procurer, retiring in 2005, after ten years employment.
He served with the US Marine Corps from 1959 until 1963.
Charles enjoyed fishing.
He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Ellen Marie Coyle on August 9, 2013.
Surviving are three daughters; Colleen, wife of Tony Pirolli, Philadelphia; Kelly Gavin, Watsontown; Erin E. Kemble, at home; seven grandchildren: Ryan C. Weiner, John W. Gavin, Casey K. Gavin, Shawna Pirolli, Cailin E. Gavin, Keara Pirolli, Kellen Kemble-May; and one great-grandson, Marsahll Gavin. He was the last of his immediate family.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home, & Cremation Service, Benton.
