Charles O. Michael, age 86, formerly of Upper Raven Creek Road, Benton and Newark, Del. Died at 1:26 p. m. Sunday, September 22, 2013 at the Grandview Health Homes, Danville.
Born in Centralia on August 24, 1927, he was a son of the late Edward and Jeanette (Turner) Michael. He resided in Bensalem, Bucks County for many years and in Raven Creek from 1985 to 2000 when he moved to Newark, Del to reside with his nephew, Daniel A. Michael. In 2010 he moved to Vintage Knolls, Danville.
Charles was a 1945 graduate of the Conyngham-Centralia High School. He was employed as an oiler at the U. S. Steel Corp. plant in Fairless Hills for thirty years, retiring in 1983.
He was a member of the Raven Creek Presbyterian Church while he resided in Raven Creek and also belonged to the VFW Post 2110, Mt. Carmel.
Charles served with the US Army during World War II.
He was preceded in death by two brothers: Daniel Michael and Jack Michael.
Surviving is a brother, Edward W. Michael, Bloomsburg and several nieces and nephews.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be made in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Centralia.
