Charles Walter “Nip” Napierski, age 84, of Mt. Zion Road, Catawissa, loving husband and father peacefully passed away at his home on Wednesday, January 1, 2025. Born on May 18, 1940, in Bloomsburg to Walter and Stella (Sherwinski) Napierski, Charlie spent most of his younger years in Bloomsburg and later moved to Catawissa. He was a 1958 graduate of Catawissa High School. Immediately following graduation, he proudly served his country by enlisting in the United States Coast Guard.
Charles had a passion for business. In 1962, he purchased his first school bus and Catawese Coach Lines was born. He owned and operated the company until he retired and sold it in 1988. Due to his tremendous work ethic, he quickly took up woodworking, creating bedroom furniture, cradles, stools, changing tables, potty chairs, bowls, and many more pieces that he gifted to family and friends. Charlie also loved nature and wild life. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
In addition to his parents, Charlie was preceded in death by his brother, Chester, his sister, Stella, and a nephew, Mark Gregorowicz.
On June 7, 1969, he married his beloved wife, formerly Beverly Clossen, with whom he celebrated 55 years of marriage. They have three daughters: KathyAnn, wife of Kevin Hamilton, Danville, Kristy, wife of Eric Klinger, Klingerstown, and Kimberly, wife of George Hearn, Ruckersville, Virginia; seven grandchildren: Sophia and Eden Hamilton; Kylie, Brooke, and Sierra Klinger; and Irelyn and Jameson Hearn. Charlie is the last in his family to carry the Napierski name.
