Charles L. Price, age 77, of West Palm Beach, Fla.; died at his home on Monday, January 4, 2016.
Born in Bloomsburg on January 14, 1938, he was a son of the late Charles D. and Mary C. (Barnes) Price. He resided in West Palm Beach since 1984, and previously lived in Bloomsburg. He was a 1956 graduate of Bloomsburg High School.
Early in life Charles was known for his athleticism, and was MVP of many sports in high school. He was especially talented at baseball, and played for several all-star teams through the years.
Charles was also musically inclined, and could play several instruments.
He was employed as a contractor in various trades throughout his working life.
Charles enjoyed NASCAR, and supported the Penn State and Eagles football teams. He liked hunting, fishing and the outdoors; and he often played the lottery. He will be remembered most for his genuine love of family.
He was preceded in death by two brothers: Jack Price and Gene Price.
Surviving is his wife, the former Susan Bolich, at home; five children: Pamela S., wife of Thomas Treadway; Lori, wife of Robert Johnson; Charles âChuckâ Price, wife Cindy, all of Bloomsburg; Michele âMickiâ, wife of Eugene Tapper, New Tripoli; and Melissa âMissiâ, wife of Peter Doran, Bloomsburg; three step-children: Karen Ohl-Shadle, Berwick; Kelly Ohl, West Palm Beach, Fla.; and Robert Ohl, Loxahatchee, Fla.; a sister, Patsy Ann âPatâ Harvey, Berwick; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews and nieces.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday at 1 p.m. in the Dean W. Kriner, Inc. Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market Street, Bloomsburg, with Rev. Eric J. Miller, lead pastor of the Bloomsburg Christian Church officiating. Interment in Elan Memorial Park, Lime Ridge.
