Charles E. “Chuck” Ryan, Jr., age 56, of Blakeslee, passed away on Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at Grandview Nursing & Rehabilitation, Danville, where he had resided since 2019.
Born on November 18, 1964, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Charles Edward and Darlene L. (Lewis) Ryan. He was a 1982 graduate of Duquesne High School.
Chuck served in the U.S. Navy from 1984 to 1992 aboard USS McCandless.
Chuck was a former chef at the Carriage Inn in Elizabeth, Pa. where he was well known for his "Black Jack" wings. He was also a long time Clerk for the PLCB Wine and Spirits Stores in Homestead, Mt. Pocono and Broadheadsville, Pa.
Chuck's recipes for wings, stuffed mushrooms, and carrot cake will be remembered fondly by all his family and friends. He shared his love of cooking with so many over the years.
Chuck is survived by three sisters: Deborah Ryan, of McKeesport, Cheryl, wife of George Werrbach, of Blakeslee, and Kelli Ryan, of West Mifflin; and two half-brothers: James Ryan, of Belle Vernon, and Jack Ryan, of McKeesport.
Chuck's remains will be interred at St. Mary's Polish Cemetery in White Oak, Pa. later followed by a Memorial Service.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Dean W. Kriner Inc. Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg.
