Charlotte L. Baker, age 79, 630 E. Scenic Avenue, Bloomsburg, died at her home at 8:15 a.m. on Thursday, January 1, 2015. She had been in failing health for two years.
Born in Fullerton, Neb. on April 19, 1935, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Mildred (Hadley) Morrison. She was a 1953 graduate of Flathead High School in Kalispell, Montana; where she resided before moving to Bloomsburg 16 years ago.
Charlotte collected bear figurines and teddy bears; and enjoyed knitting and geneology.
Surviving is her husband, Thomas A. Baker, with whom she celebrated 14 years of marriage on December 30, 2014; a son, Allen Horst, wife Patti; a daughter, Carolyn, wife of Richard Love, all of Great Falls, Mont.; five step-children: Darcy Horn; Dana, wife of Shawn Blakesley, all of Spokane, Wash.; Susan, wife of Bernard Novick, Bloomsburg; William F. Baker, wife Dianne, Bear Gap; Paul S. Baker, wife Claudia, Shiner, Tex.; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews and nieces.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Dean W. Kriner, Inc. Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market Street, Bloomsburg, with Rev. Chad E. Carter, pastor of the Kulp/Roaring Creek United Methodist Churches officiating. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 1-2 p.m.
