Charlotte Ann (Moats) Fischer, of Danville and formerly of Albion, N.Y., passed away peacefully, at age 69, on November 25, 2023, surrounded by her family.
Charlotte was born on May 8, 1954 in Randolf, W.V. to the late Mary N. (Moats) Ortiz and Todd Moats. Charlotte was married to her loving husband of 37 years, the late Harry E. Fischer. They built a wonderful life and family together in Albion, N.Y.
Charlotte had faith and hope in Christ and prayed for God’s healing and blessings. She was an active member/Deacon of the First Presbyterian Church of Albion for many years until she moved away to live with her daughter and son-in-law's family.
Charlotte worked as a LPN at Medina Memorial Hospital and Clover Hill Adult Residence in Albion. She also worked as a school bus driver and cafeteria worker at Albion Central School District. Charlotte made many friends in Albion and surrounding areas, along with being a second mother/grandmother to numerous children at school. She took many children under her wing and gave them love,understanding, compassion, and free ice cream.
Charlotte is survived by her three children, Cindy (Thomas) Auberger Jr. of Albion, NY.; Anne (Patrick) Chambers of Danville, PA.; George (Selina) Fischer of Oakfield, NY.; and son-in-law Ulises Miranda lll of Charleston, SC.; her grandchildren, Courtney (John) Witkowski; Taylor (Austin) Allen; Ulises Miranda lV; Richard Heckman lll; Melissa (Robert) Rupnig; Thomas (Cory) Auberger lll; Aaron (Alise Pangrazio) Auberger; Brittany Scott; Ethan Woodworth; Ashley (Dominic) Bennett; Jessica Burch; Samantha Chambers; Jordon Chambers; Makayla Fischer; Levi Fischer; 21 great grandchildren; two brothers, Mike and Raymond Moats of Waynesboro, VA.;two sisters, Wanita Moats of Mifflinburg, PA.; Angela Stevens of Waynesboro, VA.; and her nieces and nephews.
Charlotte was predeceased by her husband, Harry E. Fischer; her mother, Mary N. Ortiz; sister, Toni Hinegardener; brother, Todd Moats Jr.; daughters, Shari (Fischer) Miranda; and MaryAnn (Smith) Deskins.
Charlotte was deeply loved by her children and grandchildren who will cherish all their special memories of her. She will be fondly remembered by many for being kind, generous, selfless, caring and funny. She will be truly missed.
Charlotte will be laid to rest next to her late husband, Harry at Mt. Albion Cemetery in Albion, NY. on May 8, 2024. There will be a celebration of life to follow.
