Clyde A. Strohl, Jr., age 64, 116 Hetlerville Road, Nesopeck (Mifflin Township) died unexpectedly on Friday, May 10, 2019, in his truck along PA Route 339 outside of Mifflinville of natural causes.
Born in Palmerton on July 28, 1954, he was the son of Clyde A. Strohl, Sr., Palmerton and the late Florence (Snyder) Strohl.. He resided in the Mifflinville area since 2001 and formerly lived in Kunkletown. He was a 1972 graduate of Palmerton High School.
Clyde was employed by Spaid Property Maintenance, Mifflinville, for the past five years. He was a pipefitter by trade and had also worked for Roadway Express at one time.
His hobbies were hunting and fishing. He loved just sitting in the woods.
Clyde served with the U. S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict and later with the Pennsylvania National Guard.
He and his wife, the former Brenda Weiss celebrated 23 years of marriage on September 8, 2018.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a son, Clay Austin Strohl , on January 19, 2019.
Surviving in addition to his father and wife are a daughter, Veronica Strohl, Kunkletown; a son, Joel Strohl, Berwick; three sisters: Gail, wife of Ned Berry, Reedesville, South Carolina; Tina Madtes, Macungie; Karen, wife of John Aelis, Lehighton and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2019, at 7:30 p. m. in the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg. Viewing from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
