Connie L. Porter

Connie L. Porter, age 75, of Fowlersville Road, Bloomsburg, passed away on Saturday December 28, 2024 at the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.

Born on December 6, 1949 in Bloomsburg, she was the daughter of the late Edward L. and Lillian (Heaps) Steward. A 1967 graduate of Central Columbia High School, she was a lifelong resident of the Bloomsburg area.

Connie worked at Giant Food Stores in Bloomsburg as a cashier for 35 years.

She loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren.

Connie was preceded in death by two husbands; Larry L. Kershner and Richard G. Porter.

Surviving is her daughter, Kelly, wife of Timothy Weaver, of Bloomsburg; son, Edward P. Porter, and his wife Samantha, of Mifflinville; four stepchildren: Heather, wife of Jason Weikel, Zion Grove, Tara Porter, Reading, Jackie wife of Mark Gorski, Drums, Richard Porter and his wife Nicole, Berwick, three grandsons: Kolton Weaver, Kaden Weaver, and Dax Richard Porter; nine step grandchildren; six step great-grandchildren; sister, Karen, wife of Jack Roadarmel, of Mainville; and a brother, Dennis Steward, and his wife Daneen, of Bloomsburg.

Funeral services will be held on Friday January 3, 2025 at 11 a.m. in the Dean W. Kriner Inc. Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg, with Pastor Rick DiLena, of NC Church in Berwick, officiating. Interment will follow in Lightstreet Cemetery.
