Craig V. Traugh, Sr., age 57, 327 N. Vine St., Berwick, died at his home at 10:22 p. m. Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2013, after having been in failing health for several years.
Born in Berwick on August 16, 1955, he was a son of Carolyn Emma Jane (Bogert) Traugh, Brandon, Fla. and the late Henry L. Traugh, Sr. He spent his early life in New Jersey, returning to Berwick in 1970, where remained except for 8 years in Florida.
Craig was last employed by Ray Yorks & Son, Contracting, Berwick, retiring about 2005. Earlier he was employed at the former Berwick Forge & Fabricating Co.
He was a member of the American Ukrainian Citizens (Old Mans) Club and the Slavonic Club, both of Berwick.
Craig served with the US Navy during the Vietnam War.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Daniel Traugh.
Surviving in addition to his mother, is his wife, the former Vickie L. Babb, with whom he celebrated his 32nd wedding anniversary on May 16, 2013; four children: Craig V. Traugh, Jr., and his companion, Jennifer Safarek, Almedia; Dustin Lee Traugh, at home; Genette Marie Traugh, and her companion Seamus Ridgway, at home; Colby James Traugh, at home; four grandchildren (Madison, Gage, Adara and Emyrsym); and four siblings: Debra, wife of Richard Miller, Attica, Ohio; Henry L. Traugh, Jr., and his wife Beverly, Berwick; Barbara wife of Dennis (Bogie) Bogart, Seffner, Fla.; and Carolyn, wife of David Daughtrey, Brandon, Fla.
Friends may call on Sunday from 4-6 p. m. at the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
