Crystal M. Barna

Crystal M. Barna, age 41, of 712 McKinley St., Hazleton, passed away on Saturday May 7, 2022 at the Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest in Allentown. She had been in failing health for several years and her death followed complications from cardiac surgeries.

Born on July 5, 1980 at the Coaldale State General Hospital she was a daughter of Valerie (Bobbey) Barna, of Hazleton and the late Robert G. Barna, Jr.. She spent her life in the Hazleton area and attended Hazleton High School.

Crystal was employed earlier in her life at several restaurants in the Hazleton area as a waitress.

Surviving in addition to her mother, Valerie A. Barna, and her companion Douglas Jowett, with whom she resided, are three daughters: Allison Rose Sebia, of Lansford, Julia Elizabeth Sebia, and her partner, Jonathan Kantner, of Hazleton, Maria Skonieczny, of Hazleton; grandson, Christopher Dunnigan; and a soon to be born granddaughter, Clementine Kantner; a brother, Robert A. Barna III, and his partner, Cherice Valvenia, of Beaver Meadows;, her grandmother, Joann (Sauer) wife of Stephen Novotny, Hazleton, and her close friend, John Scheifer, of Pardeesville.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner Inc. Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Bloomsburg.
