Cynthia L. âCindyâ OâBrien, age 54, 225 E. Sixth St., Bloomsburg, died at 11:50 p. m. Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at the Statesman Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Levittown, where she was a patient for 11 days. She was seriously ill since December, 2012.
Born on July 19, 1959 in Kansas City, Kansas, she was a daughter of the late Richard and Lorraine (Molder) Goalder. She resided in Bloomsburg for six years and in Danville for several years prior to that and the remainder of her lifetime in Kansas City.
Cindy was a 1977 graduate of Turner High School in Kansas City and also attended a cosmetology school there. Her last employment was as a cashier at Walmart in Buckhorn.
She and her husband, Gerald R. âJerryâ OâBrien celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary on November 7, 2012. Also surviving are three sons: Jeffrey M. OâBrien, Kansas City; Matthew B. OâBrien and Joshua M. OâBrien, both living at home; and a sister, Deborah, wife of Steven Kennedy, Kansas City.
Viewing will be on Sunday from 3-4 p. m. at the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg.
