Dale E. Poust

Dale E. Poust, age 71, of Blue Springs Terrace, Danville, passed away on Monday morning August 21, 2023 at his home under the care of Compassus Hospice.

Born on April 7, 1952 in Williamsport, he was the son of the late Alvin and Margaret C. (Baylor) Poust. A graduate of Hughesville High School, he resided in Washingtonville since 2010 and formerly resided in Lewisburg.

Dale served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War era.

He was employed by Strick, Corp in Washingtonville as a foreman for 30 years.

Dale enjoyed collecting aluminum cans and donating the tabs from the cans to the Geisinger Ronald McDonald House program Grab-A-Tab. He also loved fishing and hunting.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Franklin Poust in 2022, Daniel Poust in 2021, and Kenneth Poust in 2021, and three sisters, Virginia Fry in 2010, Helen Winder, in 2001, and Betty Poust in 2018.

Dale is survived by his wife, the former Debra A. Rorick, with whom he celebrated their 46^th wedding anniversary on Mary 28, 2023; a son, Darren E. Poust, at home; a daughter, Denise, wife of Dominick Passe, of Danville; a sister, Maryanne Poust, of Dover; and a brother, Thomas Poust, and his wife Arlene, of Williamsport.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday August 26, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. in the Roat-Kriner Funeral Home, 1133 Bloom Rd., Danville, with Compassus Hospice Chaplain, Robert Barner, officiating. The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m.
