Darlene E. (Cragle) Kile, age 66, of 1015 Third Street, Washingtonville, passed away at her home on Saturday, Sept. 26, 2020 with her family by her bedside, after an illness.
Born in Bloomsburg on February 17, 1954, she was a daughter of the late Larry E. and Elsie P. (Mordan) Cragle. She was a 1973 graduate of the Columbia-Montour Vocational Technical School and also graduated from the McCann Business School in Sunbury. Her early years were spent in Espy and she resided in the Washingtonville area for the past 40 years.
Darlene was employed by a shoe factory in Milton for 15 years and later by Nordic Gear for two years and last at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, where she was a desk clerk for 11 years before retiring in 2015.
Darlene loved her daughters, fiercely and wholly. Her grandchildren have been a source of joy for her over the years and a motivator to keep living to the best of her ability. She always found living with a purpose to be the most important driving force for her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Desirea L. Crane on Oct. 26, 2014 and two brothers: Ernest Mordan and John Cragle.
Darlene is survived by her daughter Danielle, wife of William King, Milton and her seven children: Christian, Kenzie, Kory, Caiden, Shaun, Kloie and Dakstyn; a niece Brittany Martz and her children, Kaelyn and Mila who called her “G.G.”, and a nephew Brandon Foust who she raised and called her “kiddos”. Four siblings: Randall Mordan, and his wife Pat, Orangeville, Thomas Mordan, and his wife Brenda, Bloomsburg, Saundra Richardson, Calico Rock, Ark. and Ray E. Cragle, and his wife Becky, Ark. There are also a number of nieces and nephews.
She sends a special thank you to her lifelong best friend, Mary Jean Ruckle of Bloomsburg, for being by her side since eighth grade.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11 a. m.in the Roat-Kriner Funeral Home, 1133 Bloom Road, Danville, with the Pastor Thomas Carney of the Journeymate Ministries, Lightstreet and Rev. John B. Kolenda, pastor of Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church, Bloomsburg officiating. Interment will follow in the Mooresburg Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 -11 am.
