David R. Bowman, age 76, of 4015 Old Berwick Road, Bloomsburg, passed away on Friday, January 20, 2023 at the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville where he was a patient.
Born in Bloomsburg on May 25, 1946, he was a son of the late Oley B. "Oad: and Edith (Smith) Bowman. His early life was spent in Fishing Creek Township and he resided in Almedia for the past 45 years. He was a 1964 graduate of Benton High School.
David was employed by Central Builders Supply Co. for 40 years as a truck driver and following retirement he was employed by Rabbitt Transit.
His hobbies were listening to music, especially country oldies and watching movies.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by seven siblings: Ada, Richard, Howard, George, Carl, John, and Edward.
David is survived by his wife, the former Michele A. Sherman, with whom he observed their 39th wedding anniversary on July 12, 2022; two daughters: Bridget Harer, Berwick and Renee, wife of Dan Dawson, Wapwallopen; a step-daughter, Angela, wife of Doug Rarig, Washingtonville; seven grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; five siblings: Grace, Oley, Drucilla, Dean, and Elanor; as well as, numerous nieces and nephews.
At the request of the deceased there will be no funeral services. Interment will be in Elan Memorial Park at the convenience of the family.
