David S. Conrad, age 71, of 31 Sunset lane, Danville, died at 9:25 p. m. Thursday, December 24, 2020 at The Gardens At Millville where he was a patient.
Born in Sunbury on October 11, 1949, he was a son of the late Jesse W. and Alice S. (Hess) Conrad. He resided in Montour County since 1981.
David was a 1968 graduate of Sunbury High School and received a B. S. degree from Bloomsburg University in 1976 in biology and chemistry.
He was employed by Merck & Co. at their Cherokee Plant in Riverside as a laboratory technician from 1977 until he retired in 2011.
David was a member of the Moose Lodge in Milton, the Union County Sportsman’s Club at Weikert, Twin Pines Hunting Camp in Clinton County and the American Legion. His hobbies were hunting, trout fishing, ice fishing, gardening, bird watching and walking with the family dog Toby.
He served with the U. S. Navy during the Vietnam War.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters: Gloria Eilene Conrad and Dorothy Lorraine Kalich.
David is survived by his loving wife, the former Marilyn J. Dellert, with whom he observed their 41st wedding anniversary on June 16, 2020, a son, Rafferty Leigh Conrad, who resided with him and two sisters: Jeannine Carole, wife of James Brouse and Barbara Ellen, wife of Harold Fry, all of Sunbury and several nieces and nephews.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no funeral services or viewing.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Roat-Kriner Funeral Home, 1133 Bloom Road, Danville.
