Dayne G. McHenry, age 68, 1810 Old Berwick Road, Bloomsburg, died unexpectedly at his home and was pronounced dead at 4:45 p.m. Saturday, March 1, 2014.
Born in Bloomsburg on August 27, 1945, he was a son of the late Edward T. McHenry and Helen E. (Leiby) Shoemaker McHenry Miller. A 1963 graduate of Central Columbia High School, he resided in the area his entire life.
Dayne had been employed at the former Columbia Silk Mill, Bloomsburg and the former USR Metals, Almedia.
He was a faithful member of Lime Ridge United Methodist Church, and participated in the Adult Sunday School Class there.
Dayne was preceded in death by three brothers: William P. Shoemaker, Derl E. Shoemaker and Edward T. McHenry, Jr.
He was the last of his immediate family, and is survived by six nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in the Dean W. Kriner, Inc. Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market Street, Bloomsburg with his pastor, Terry J. Brosius, officiating. Interment in New Rosemont Cemetery, Espy. Friends may call at the funeral home from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. Wednesday.
