Deborah Anne (Pembleton) Haden, age 74, of Benton (Talmar), entered eternal rest on March 3, 2023, at the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Wilkes-Barre on February 5, 1949, a daughter of the late Robert W. and Anne M. (Honas) Pembleton, she was a resident of the Benton-Millville area for the past 34 years and previously lived in New Jersey.
Deborah was a graduate of John F. Kennedy High School, Willingboro, NJ in 1967 and of Misericordia College, Dallas, PA in 1971.
A devout Catholic and pillar of her faith, she was a member of Christ The King Catholic Church, Benton, where she faithfully served as a Confirmation Teacher for over 25 years.
Deborah was employed by the Shamokin School District as an Emotional Support Teacher until her retirement.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Robert W. Pembleton, Jr., her baby daughter, Elizabeth Anne and her grandson, Anthony Stephen Hopper.
Deborah was a loving wife and mother, and she adored doting on her family, especially her five grandchildren. Always a creative thinker and doer, Debby was a talented crafter, cook, and baker, celebrated for her beautifully decorated cakes which she lovingly and joyfully made for special occasions for her family and church.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Paul W. Haden, three children: Jennifer A., wife of Kyle Thatcher, Laura Haden, wife of Raymond Haden, Paul W. Haden II, and his wife Shanna; five grandchildren: Simon, Jack, Sophia, Eli, and Alex, all of Millville.
Also surviving are siblings: Janet, wife of Frank Smolenski, NJ, Richard Pembleton and his wife LeAnne, NC, Mary Anne, wife of Russell Novak, CA., Margaret, wife of Wico VanGenderen, PA., Christopher Pembleton and his wife Rose Marie, NJ and a number of nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Christ The King Catholic Church, Mendenhall Lane, Benton, on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at 11 a. m. with Rev. Fr. Andrew St. Hilaire officiating. Interment will follow in Wesley Chapel Cemetery, Talmar. The Rosary will be recited at 10:45 a. m. Viewing will be from 10-11 at the Church.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be sent to Christ The King Catholic Church.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market Street, Bloomsburg.
