Deborah Mae Miknich
Deborah Mae Miknich, age 61, 318 N. Arch St., Berwick, died peacefully at her home and was pronounced dead on Sunday, April 19, 2015. at 10:50 a. m.
Born in Berwick on November 10, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Frank Dobbins and Shirley H. (Winn) Bankes. Her step father was the late Daniel J. "Duke" Bankes, Sr. She spent her life in the Bloomsburg-Berwick area.
Deborah was last employed as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at the former Bloomsburg Health Care Center, Bloomsburg, working there for 10 years, before retiring about five years ago.
She loved to read the Press Enterprise each day, riding motorcycles ( especially Harley's) and her cat, Pudge.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 26 years, Paul A. Kaminski, on May 30, 1998; and by a sister, Dixie F. Bowes on January 29, 2015.
Deborah is survived by two sons: Kristopher D. "Kris" Kaminski, and his fiance, Cathy Ramos, Hillside, N.J. and Brian Gordon, Bloomsburg; five grandchildren: Kara, Anthony and Kaylee Kaminski and Timothy and Jennifer Gordon; a brother, Daniel Bankes, and his wife Ann, Berwick; her former husband of four years, Tom Miknich, Danville; a brother-in-law, Daniel L. Bowes, Bloomsburg; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A viewing for family and friends will be held on Friday from 2-4 p. m. at the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg, with a prayer service at 4 p. m.
