Dennis L. Deitterick, age 66, 527 W. Moores Grove Road, Orangeville, died at his home at 2:55 p. m. Friday, June 16, 2017 after being in failing health for the past six months.
Born in Bloomsburg on November 26, 1950, he was a son of the late John and Sarah (Fedder) Deitterick. He spent most of his life in Espy.
Dennis was last employed by Process Plastics, Inc., Berwick, where he worked for the past seven years. Prior to that, he was a self employed taxidermist for many years. He also did construction and masonry work earlier in his life.
An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, archery, trapping and fox hunting. Dennis also raced motorcycles and go carts. He also was a gardener and loved to sit and watch his plants grow.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Colten Scott Remick.
Surviving are three daughters: Ganene Fry, Espy; Heather, wife of Dan Allen, Bloomsburg; Johnna Deitterick, wife of Julio Baez, Berwick; a son, Kip Deitterick, Bloomsburg; six grandchildren; tw great grandchildren; a brother, Dale Deitterick, and his wife Brenda and a sister, Margaret Kline, both of Winter Springs, Fla.
A viewing will be held today from 3-5 p. m. at the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market Street, Bloomsburg.
Private memorial services will be held at the convenience of the family.
