Diane C. Oberdorf

Diane C. (Long) Oberdorf, age 65, 1538 Second Street, Danville, died at 1 a. m. Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at her home after an illness of two years.

Born in Johnstown on February 14, 1953, she was a daughter of the late Leroy L. and June (Pfeil) Long. She resided in Danville for 14 years and  formerly lived in Johnstown.

Diane was last employed as a dispatcher for Phoenix International, working out of her home. Earlier she and her husband were  over the road truck drivers, for many years, operating their own truck. They traveled across the entire country in this manner.

She loved to cook and enjoyed hosting cookouts for her family. She also loved to shop and spend time with her grandchildren, especially her great grandson, Dylan.

Diane was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years,, Walter R. Oberdorf on April 25, 2014 and by three brothers and a sister.

Surviving are her daughter, Christina L. Kegg, Johnstown; four grandchildren: David W. Oberdorf and Emily June Venhuizen, who resided with her; Amber L. D. Oberdorf, Danville; Samantha D. Phizacklea, New Orleans, Louisiana; a great-grandson, Dylan Oberdorf, Danville; a sister, Bonnie, wife of Leroy Kovack, Hooversville; a brother, William Long, Johnstown, and her canine companion, Samson.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Roat-Kriner Funeral Home, 1133 Bloom Road, Danville.
