Dolores I. "Dody" McCloskey

Dolores I. “Dody” McCloskey, age 87, of Columbia, Kentucky and formerly of Bloomsburg died on February 20, 2023 at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow, Kentucky.

Born in Bloomsburg on March 27, 1935, she was a daughter of the late Isaiah, Sr., and Irene (Davis) McCloskey. Her step-mother was the late Lena McCLoskey.

Dody was a graduate of the old Bloomsburg High School in 1953. In school she was a member of the drama club and served as a cheerleader for three years.

She was last employed as a clerk by Medical Management Services in Berwick, working there for eight years, retiring in 1999. Earlier she was employed by Geisinger Medical Center in Danville and the former Bell Telephone Company.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by two sons, John Steinhilber and William Steinhilber; three brothers: Robert McCloskey, Guy McCloskey and Isaiah McCloskey, Jr. and a sister, Anna Mae Fetzer.

Surviving is a son, Robert Steinhilber and his wife Susan Northport, Ala. and James Steinhilber and his fiancé, Madonna Hadley of Columbia, Kentucky and six grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

At her request, there will be no funeral services. Interment in New Rosemont Cemetery, Espy.
