Donald A. Brouse
Donald A. Brouse, age 80, formerly of West Fifth Street, Bloomsburg, died at 4:23 p.m. Wednesday, May 28, 2014 in the Emergency Room of Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. He had resided at Orangeville Nursing & Rehab. since January 2012.
Donnie was born in Bloomsburg on March 12, 1934. A 1953 graduate of Bloomsburg High School, he had resided there all of his life.
Donnie was employed as Assistant Manager for J.S. Raub Shoe Co. at their Bloomsburg and Berwick stores for 35 years; and later worked for Memorial Elementary School and Weis Markets, both in Bloomsburg.
He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, Bloomsburg. He was also a life member of the Bloomsburg Fire Dept., having been a member of the former Liberty Fire Co.; and was an avid New York Yankees fan.
Donnie was preceded in death by his wife, the former Elizabeth G. “Betty†Klinger on August 26, 2011; and by a step-son, Gregory Z. Noss on February 4, 1984.
He was the last of his family. Surviving is a sister-in-law, Betty Klinger, Bloomsburg.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday at 1 p.m. in Elan Memorial Park, 5595 Old Berwick Road, Lime Ridge, with his pastor, Rev. Dr. Gary D. Weaver officiating.
