Donald F. Deitrick

Donald F. Deitrich, age 82, formerly of 50 First Street, Danville, died at 10:12 p. m. Monday, October 23, 2017 at the Grandview Nursing & Rehabilitation where he was a patient for over one year.

Born in Milton on, on April 19, 1935, he was a son of the late James Franklin and Elizabeth Ann (Lunger) Deitrick. He resided in the Danville area most of his life.

Don was last employed as a truck driver and earlier in his life, he was a house painter.

He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Naomi Jean Hughes, on July 4, 2008.

Surviving are two daughters: Dona Murphy, Peoria, Ariz. and her four children: Larry Murphy, Jr., Jeff Murphy, Jamie Murphy, and Stacy Cotner, all of Danville; Sharon, wife of Reese Repp, Bloomsburg, and her four children: Mark Zawistowski, Mifflinville, Craig Zawistowski, Ithaca, New York, Kerry Zawistowski, Riverside, Krista Vandermark, Berwick; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11 a. m. in the Roat-Kriner Funeral Home, 1133 (formerly 1715) Bloom Road, Danville, with the Rev. Edmund W. Minnich, retired United Methodist minister officiating. Viewing will be from 10 a. m. until the time of the services.
