Donald Ralph Fulmer, age 79, of 533 Susquehanna Ave., Sunbury, died at his home at 1:38 p. m. Friday, January 25, 2019 after an illness.
Born in Quakertown on March 19, 1939, he was the son of the late Howard Wilson and Arlene (Heller) Fulmer. He was a 1957 graduate of Quakertown High School. He resided in Sunbury for the past five years and previously lived in Danville for a number of years.
Donald was employed as an administrator at the Wyncote Church Home, Wyncote, retiring in 2003.
He served with the U. S. Navy Air Corps from 1959 to 1962.
Donald enjoyed the time he spent with his two Siberian huskies, Bear and Ursa. He was an avid reader and loved to walk.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey Michael Fulmer in 1966 and by a brother, Ronald Fulmer.
He is survived by his best friend and domestic partner, Anthony Bongiovi, who resided with him; a son, Brant Robert Fulmer, M. D., and his wife Shannon, Danville; a daughter, Nicole Lara Miller, M.D. and her husband Mark, Nashville, Tenn.; five grandchildren: Maxwell Stephen Fulmer, Leo Michael Fulmer, Cassandra Nicole Fulmer, Adeline Grace Miller, Lily London Miller; five siblings: Howard Fulmer, Quakertown, Sandra Fulmer, Quakertown, Terrence Fulmer, and his wife Betty, Orlando, Fla., Gerald Fulmer, Quakertown, Perry Fulmer, Quakertown; and his former wife, Patricia Fulmer, Westmoreland, Tenn.
Memorial services will be held at a time to be announced.
